just a quick ? folks..if i were to make a shaft out of canadian hard maple..how can you know if it wont warp in the next year or two without abusing the shaft of course....?????....baffles me how shafts can go for years without warping even if you use 2 tips of english on every power draw shot...later

Canadian, Michigan, New England, it doesn't
matter where the wood comes from. If the shaft wood is dried & cut properly chances are very good that it will not warp. Cutting the wood 6-8 times within a year should be about right to keep the shaft straight...JER
