Planning a visit to Denver prompted me to give a call to, IMO, the classiest pool hall I've ever seen. 5 Carom Tables (heated), 2 Snooker, and a couple dozen 9 ft'rs. I met Robert Byrne there many years ago and played a few rounds of 3 Cushion...a great experience.

The phone rang....... number has been disconnected.

Any info out there would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, I agree the place was fantastic.
It has been closed for about a year now. They moved to a new location and the overhead killed them. Some good alternatives would be Table Steaks South or Colorado Cue club. Both are nice rooms but pale in comparison to the old Shakespeare's. My personal favorite is Table Steaks South. Here is a good source for places to play while in town: http://www.cuetimes.com/Newspaper/04-2009/0409_Cue-Times.htm

I only found out when I was in town last summer and went to the new location. Closed. That was disappointing.

Doug, thanks a million for the update and new info, even though that's not the answer I was looking for. It was 6-7 years ago on Father's day....... It was me, Jerry (owner), and Robert Byrne. A half a day playing with these two guys, an experience to long remember. Thanks again for the info...
