I just came home from the Hall of Fame Billiards hall in Warren, Michigan where Shane Van Boening is playing a match. I was told that the match was supposed to start at 4:00 PM if anyone would like to watch.

Steve Lomako,

keep us informed!

Correct ^^^

Playing even race to 10- Tony up 10-5, for $5k. It looked as though balls made on the break was a re-rack situation. Tony shot lights out, only missing a couple long cuts when shooting to his pocket over the course of the entire match. Shane looked out of sorts from game 1, even though his practice looked strong. Tony controlled the table well, and had the upper hand at some point in the majority of games regardless who broke. Shane shot well in the games that he won, running balls to get out, and Tony only made a couple mistakes, costing him probably 2 games. He looked in control both from a position perspective, and when playing offense- also, his emotions were controlled, and Shane looked frequently visibly irritated.

Wow, plays Shane for 5K and beats him 10-5, who is this Tony?

A side question, I watched a youtube video where Shane plays Bergman in last year US 9-ball bar box championship and the commentator said Shane played Corey Deuel 10-ball race to 21, gave him 5&6 ball and still won, what the H? was that true?

Im not sure any kind of spot matters much for players at their level.

Shane VanBoening gives Corey Deuel the 5 & 6 playing 10 ball
The match starts at about 1 hour 35 minutes of the first link
this table is a super tight GC with 3 7/8 inch pockets and Shane makes it look easy

Tony Chohan. I have posted about him before and its funny because a bunch of people said Shane would beat him. Tony is a true One Pocket player, he can run out and squeeze people to death. Only Scott and Alex can tango with Tony. I have said that before and I'll say it again.

I'm not sure I am reading this correct, 3 money balls, 5&6 is halfway much easier than 8&9, basically all Corey need is a good break and shot on first ball.
