Shane Van Boening stroke, see video

It is sad you belittle people who are trying to improve their game with your statements above.

My point was the Digicue would say SVB has a perfect stroke already. The Digicue would not tell him anything he doesn't know already. You completely neglected to reply to that. No worries though. I am glad you already have a straight stroke. Good job.

I think you misunderstand me.

I would NEVER belittle anyone for trying to improve. However, I will IN A HEARTBEAT.... tell a person the TRUTH because the truth will, as they say....set you free.

Unfortunately, before it (the truth) sets you free..... lol ..... it will piss you off.

It sounds as if you are a little pissed at me. If I'm wrong on that, excuse the misunderstanding.

The two people I was speaking about are very good friends and good people to boot. However, them being good friend/people has absolutely nothing to do with me being honest with them when they ask me what I think about their games since they started using the Digicue.

They both use it all the time. They both have improved their Digicue "READING"...... but, like I told both of them........ their shot making abilities, bridge hands, backswing, grip hands, stances... etc...etc.... are still producing the same results and as I said, one of them has actually gotten worse.

Am I being mean, rude etc...etc..? I don't think so. Am I being honest with them and trying to help them?..... you damn skippy!

Good observation, I wouldn't worry though about analyzing this specific movement, it seems like a natural occurrence in his stroke.
For the rest of us common mortals it's important to focus on just stroking as straight as we can.. :)

I would give them some time. If they can start producing a reliable straight stroke then they can fix everything around it. They are probably doing the right thing.

It was all the ..... and lol because you are giving them the same weight. Just gave my thoughts on that statement and how it sounded to me. I appreciate your reply.

It takes time. If you have been steering your whole life and then work to obtain a straight stroke, then everything else has to change. You have to aim differently because before you had been on the wrong line and made adjustments to still make balls. Now they have to work on a straight stroke and being on the right line. That is a big adjustment.

It has helped me since obtaining it. I had a consistent steer left and had gotten rid of that for the most part. All the 700s in my pool hall have commented on how much better I have been playing and I am much more of a challenge to them than I was even a year ago. Now they have to play well to win instead of me just handing them games I have finished 3rd and 4th in several bigger tournaments that I had never cashed in before.

The Digicue can help players who have less than ideal strokes but it takes lots of work and figuring out what the root cause of the issue is. It won't do much for players who already play at high level. Their strokes are already solid so their lack of improvement is due to other factors.

Ok, understood. Lol... just kidding or am I?

Naw, just for reals..

Have a good one and congratulations on your improvement!

Sorry, but I know exactly how it works. I've used one several times. Hit all the parameters first time I used it.

A couple friends of mine use them all the time. Their always talking about how much better the Digicue says they are stroking but..... lol .... I'm still giving them the same weight I was before they got the device.

Matter of fact, I feel that one of them are actually playing worse now than before he started to "figid" with his game.

Your game can be expected to go down as you improve your mechanics. We talked about this in another thread.

Billiards, golf, etc is too complicated to never take any steps back while being a student of the game.

Maybe we could all get together and give SVB a stroke lesson.

Matter of fact, maybe we should buy Shane a Digicue and that other thingamgig so he can fix his stroke.

ROFLMAO

Just be like this guy dont move anything and you'll have a straight stroke..That should make all the purest gurus happy..
