I used a glove for years back when NO ONE wore them...then I stopped and never went back. I keep two pairs in my case just in the event I'm playing somewhere the humidity is so bad I can't douse it with enough powder. I LOVE powder, and if used correctly, nothing gets anywhere else. My Gulyassy shaft has the shaft freeze treatment, so it can get a little tacky in humid conditions--but nothing a pinch of talc can't handle. My hands are generally dry, so I usually don't need it; but Cyprus can get a little humid at times. I prefer the feel of the cue in my naked hand over some spandex.
