Shape-up shoes for playing pool

We've had threads before about proper footgear for pool, but none I know of regarding this new breed of trainer shoe, called Shapeups by Skechers and done other different names by a couple others.

Essentially, they inovlve walking over what feels like a beer can. It's a very strange sensation that I'm still not accustomed to, after just a month or so.

But I can say this: I started with the body of an aging Keith McC., (I know, he was once young and skinny) and just a few weeks later I now look like Baryshnikov. Thanks, shoes!

Two hours a day around my table has done it.

Last year in Vegas for the BCAPL Nationals I did see a bunch of people walking around in those shoes.

At APA nationals I saw a bunch of people with no shoes. They may have had them, they just refused to wear them. The APA was even forced to hand out disposable shoes for those who didn't have them.
