Just in the beginning stages in the build, but wanted to share as I'm new here and I'm excited about this build!
I'm having a custom Box Cue built by Ron Arnold.
I'm really excited for the build. Me and him collaborated on the design and I think it's gonna come out beautiful!!!
It's gonna be a Box cue w/ Gaboon Ebony FA & Sleeve w/ 2 long Boxes of Snakewood and 4 short boxes Ivory Snake Juma in the forearm. Veneers will be silver, Purple and black. The Juma boxes will be engraved with flourish scrollwork and filled w/ epoxy. We're gonna do test pieces to see if we're gonna fill it w/ Black or purple(to match Veneers)
Wrapless w/c 2pc Snakewood Handle.
Boxes in the Sleeve to match.
Ringwork will incorporate the engraved scrollwork having the same flourishes inlayed in the rings of Ivory composite & Abalone.
It will be a Bumperless Cue as I really believe this will be an elegant Cue so I'm thinking Bumperless will give it the added touch!
Cue will be fully Cored with laminated Maple.
3/8 x 10 mod. Pin.
Having 2 shafts w/ it a Maple & a Kielwood
I'm very excited about this build and it's just being started so I have about a 12 month wait, but it's gonna be will worth the wait!
I'll be getting progress pictures as well I will post them when I get them...
I'm new to this site and this is my first forum post, but wanted to share the build I have coming up as I'm very excited about it! I'm also seeing how I go about posting on here as well, so any feedback will be great and very helpful! Just wanted to be part of the community! Any thoughts, comments or critics are welcomed! Welcome aboard. One tip: this sub-forum is usually where folks post pics hence the word 'Gallery'. Just a fyi. New cue sounds nice. Never heard of the maker, where's he located?
 
Yea, I'm sorry, just gotta learn where to put everything. I actually put it in main forum too...
He's in Arkansas, he does very good work. On Facebook under Ronald Arnold.
He's also a VERY talented Leather worker and makes cases as well! Gonna have him make me one of them then too! He only does a few cues a year.
