Sharp Ebony/Bocote AE F/S or Trade!

Hi all,

For sale or trade, one NICE AE cue! The body of this cue is black ebony with some reddish grain showing through in a couple of areas. The razor sharp points are highly figured bocote with natural and ebony veneers. The butt is ebony with a broad bocote ring near the small buttcap. There are thin bocote veneered rings toward the cap and before and after the wrap. The wrap is a nicely textured leather with a nearly invisible seam. The joint is phenolic and has a radial pin. The shafts are both right at 13mm, and the cue weighs 20 oz. with either shaft. Asking $700 or will consider interesting trade offers.

Thanks for looking!

Steve

Not sure

That looks different from mine. The cue I had was kingwood. And I think it was a bit more than $500. Nice cue Steve!
Sweet playing cues!
Nick

Being the "prior owner" of Steve's cue, I can tell you that the cue didn't jump up 250 bucks in price after the leather wrap was done. Matter of fact, the leather wrap, in essence, was done for free.

I got out of the cue actually LESS than what I had in it....based upon the fact that I had to unload my collection...including this cue. All things considered, I first got into this one on a trade that ultimately cost me $825.

As for it being Nick's....I know for fact that it's not Kingwood....so if Nick's was, this isn't the same cue.

Either way, the cue looks, feels, and plays KILLER! The new owner will be getting a sweet cue for a sweet deal.

Best of luck on the sale/trade, Steve.

Mark

I guess I'm hallucinating, Nick never owned this cue, never sold it to me, I never sold it back to Nick, he never then sold it to Bama, and Rat never bought it from Bama and then re-sold it and had leather wrap put on it....... in Rat's post Bama posted pics of this cue, but since it isn't the same cue I must be hallucinating

Could be that Nick thought his cue was Kingwood. Could be that he just forgot, since he hasn't had it in awhile.

Can't speak to what you paid for it, or sold it for. Have no clue...and that's your business.

I know I traded $825 in cues for this one, and then had the wrap put on it. I did it because I really liked it, and the leather was the right move.

I guess I don't see your point. Not being confrontational....but curious as to what you expect out of your remarks? If it's an issue of the cue's purchase value appreciating....looks like it has.

Bottom line...the cue is awesome, and is definitely worth MORE than what Hunter is asking....and you couldn't buy a cue from a nicer guy.

Bump to top for Steve on a great cue for a great price.

My only point was that it is amazing how much ground some cues cover in a small amount of time, this cue hits & plays with the best of em, I have no idea why so many people would pass it on........ I only did due to my finances at that time

I'm with ya there. I loved the hit of that cue....and the fit and finish is up there with the best. The leather wrap really completed that cue, and the next owner will be thrilled with it, I'm sure.

Hope it keeps comin' around, so I can get another crack at it!! :)

Rat and Nick, thanks for the kind words!

I am open to offers, both trade and cash...

Thanks!

Steve
