Thank you, you answered my next question as well. I was eyeballing those and was wondering how effective they were. I’d also like to thank you for all the input you’ve given over the years. I’ve read about many subjects on here and noted your input.Green wheel, and diamond sharpening "stone".
These are actually surprisingly good: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WM9NCK3
I like that idea and as can be seen in the photo, I need to be considering other options to what I have.I think the ones in the picture flex too much. I highly recommend indexable solid carbide boring bars. You can get them on eBay quite cheap now. I have them in 4, 5 and 6mm
I ditched the regular ground Carbide boring bars and brazed carbide boring bars almost completely after getting these. Just so much better and easier to use.

Are there any particular ones or brands you recommend?I ditched the regular ground Carbide boring bars and brazed carbide boring bars almost completely after getting these. Just so much better and easier to use.

The cheap ones you can find on eBay is fine for what we do. You can buy brand names like Kennametal if you feel like spending $200, I'm sure they are even better made, but the ones I use have served me well. I do wish there's was a polished positive rake style insert for these, as that would leave an even finer finish, but I have't been able to find any. I'll post an update if I do.Are there any particular ones or brands you recommend?
