Does anyone know what it cost or where I can get the best price to ship a cue to the Philippines from NY? (2 cues = 2.5kg total)

I checked USPS, UPS and Fedex but their prices were more than what I'd be willing to pay.

Thanks,
Jay

I use USPS Priority International and use a round tube inside a triangle tube supplied by the Post office. This might be too small since you are shipping two cues, unless you use the small bubbles bubble wrap. I always use the 1/2 inch bubble wrap...big bubbles.

For 4 pounds I got---Post office price is $45.20 and if you print the lablel online it is $42.94.

This would be from my address and probably about the same from yours.

Since last year the price went up a lot.
I don't know of a cheaper or safe way.

That's a very fair price. I'll stop by the post office and ask.

My cuemaking friends in the Philippines only use FedEx, but regardless, just make sure it's fully insured. Lots of things shipped to the Phils disappear...Tom

Why would you want to? Most Pinoy's work for about 200 Peso's a day or less, if they are lucky enough to have a job?

Do the math.. There are good, honest craftsmen here...you just have to know who they are, and weed out the riff-raff... No minimum wage, no health care, etc...

The only problem is...when a typical Pinoy business man see's a Kano, the price doubles. They seem to think all foreigner's have a money tree growing in the back yard.

I've lived here nearly ten years, and I still won't go to the local market with my Honey Ko...the price goes up and up.

Still, with the "tourist" price...You should probably be more concerned with how much it's going to cost to ship a Cue back to your homeland...

The caveat being if you find an honest Pinoy.

I ship packages both ways, to and from the Philippines. USPS is the lowest price and the slowest, if your in no hurry that could be a choice.
Using USPS Priority instead of Express will also save a few bucks...but is even slower...
FedEx is the best way, fastest, best tracking system....but the most costly.
If your shipping anything of value I would stick with Fedex.

I have changed to anything 3 kilo or less to Fedex...not worth the wait or the worry.... I have a USPS package sitting in NY right now waiting to enter customs....been sitting there since Monday night.
