What is the best way to ship and insure to Germany. 2 cues and a case value $250?

Remember, that you need to pay the VAT according to the rates in Germany, usually about 20% or more.

I've had a couple of cues shipped here to Finland and no problems whatsoever, just let the sender know to pack the cues well.

Btw, any of you know the rates for Trans-Atlantic shipments around the weight of a couple of cues with packing material, approximately 4-6 lbs for Fedex, UPS, DHL or other ? Are they significantly more expensive than USPS ?

Depends on your definition of best...Fastest? Chespest? or a combination thereof, if your answer is the latter as it is for many of our European customers I would highly suggest www.USPS.com

Do the click and ship online, choose Global Express 3 to 5 Days, then you will print the address label and customs form and postage all on one page (with 4 necessary copies of same (it will print 5 plus easy to read instructions) You get a 5% discount on postage if you do it online, then take the 5 pages to the post office with your package and you purchase $150 additional insurance for about $2.00 (as it already comes with a max of $100 insurance through the website)

All of the above will cost you about $40 to $50 and if you ship on Thursday it will get there by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week as long as there are no customs hold ups.

If you ship UPS, it will cost 2 to 2.5 times as much, get there in 2 days but the receiver will have to pay brokerage fee to UPS along with any applicable taxes.

All in all, USPS Global Express is your best choice (unless you have to get it there ASAP, then DHL/UPS?Fedex will be your choices with DHL probably a little cheaper than UPS)

Hope this helps.
