Good luck with USPS and insurance payouts. You'll never get what it was actually worth(they pay based on 'actual value') and it can take forever. I never buy it. I pack the cue well and have never had an issue. Bubble-wrap the cue, put in a cardboard or pvc tube then into a triangular Priority box.
true , its insured for more then value and never had probs with ups. i use them because most people i deal with ask me too . it was ups store . piece of mind i reckon but damn prices seel to be jacked up , delivery comp and sig verfied . i havr not use usps in years
UPS stores are franchises and they can(and do) hit you with all sorts of charges. One time i was sending a cue to maker that lived in the country. UPStore wanted to charge me 'gravel road fee'. WTF??? I shit you not. I went to post office and mailed it Priority for half of what they wanted.
i bubble wrap cue , use reuse tube an get triangle box , but i got bad karma so insurance is something i need ,its really going to pick up whem paypal and you gotta pay taxes and only f and f is used option .
Well I have never had but on claim with USPS under $100.00.
But I did have receipt, photos of item, and the process was better than a FEDX disaster.
Your advice about PVC, or Cardboard Tube is good.
Pack like item will go to war, as worker don’t much care.

You can check out third party shippers. I've been using for about the last year a company called Pirateship. I save quite a bit no matter what shipper I use whether it's UPS the post office or FedEx. I also like the idea that I can go to my account anytime and research past shipments in just a few seconds.
like a free bookkeeper.
What I like the most is how easy international is I just do everything on line. I have a package picked up and that's it. I am sure you can find some YouTube videos about Pirateship.

That's the same with the post office. If you go ship a package at the counter you pay a higher rate than if you do it online, maybe a lot higher rate. That includes flat rate shipping it's cheaper if you purchase your postage online.

Postal insurance is worthless they do everything they can to not pay. The one time I did file a claim took nine months.
They pay whatever you have proof of sale for, it doesn't matter what the actual value is. If you sell something, and have a PayPal receipt, you're getting paid that amount if you insured it
If you have proof of sale, the payout is 30 days. If it's going on your say so, good luck
I've never bought a cue that came with a receipt. I've never(knock on wood) had one issue shipping cues. Haven't sent that many but i've never had an issue. Lot of friends have filed claims and all were nightmares.
The seller had some kind of proof of payment from you, whether it's a canceled check or a PayPal payment. If he gave you the cue for free, then he would totally be out of luck
I got the $5.00 fee for….it’s up a hill and deep into the woods. I should have tipped the guy $5.00 for the best line of manure I ever heard.
