the smooth left handed strokes come from having 1 less rib on the left side!!! Creates an interesting debate!!! :D

I am just the opposite. I was left handed, and my Dad converted to be a right hander when I was 3 years old, because baseball and softball were family sports, and there were not many left handed gloves back then, and left handers were viewed as 'different'.

But, I still do some things 'naturally' left handed even today, like I play cards left handed, and I could always adapt to sports with my left hand pretty well.

Here's an interesting observation I have made: A person or an animal (dogs) when going up steps lead with the other side, leaving their preferred side on the ground for security and balance. In otherwords, right handers step up first with the left foot, and follow with the right foot. Dogs do the same, so I determined that Buddy, our lil Angel Yorkie, is left pawed.

I never heard that before, but it got me to thinking
I most be really screwed up ...
Left handed , but I lead with the left foot up steps ...
maybe that's b/c I a right legged.(in sprints and kicking)...
And I am right eye dominate....

now that I think about it maybe I am a natural right hander who lives a left handed life:eek:

Funny thing about your baseball story... my dad pushed the left hand when teaching me to throw...Lefties have an advantage when throwing to RH batters and since most batters are RH, I had a step up
I guess the scouting reports went into more detail with my generation !
