Any one have a shop companion that chatters when skim cutting ferrules? Not sure if the bearing is worn out or what the problem is.
 
Just pm billardbum (jim) with your concern he will get back to you. my cue companion was out of adjustment and he walked me threw it and fixed me right up.
 
I changed the bearing on the chuck but haven't had the chance to cut another ferrule yet. Yikes That wasn't cheap.
 
Saddle is just too light.
Use sharpened tool steel bit, and make it as short as possible.
