The office is where Ardis does the shipping, the books, the leather wraps and answers the phone.

a famous Wall Street financier of the period.

Thanks for the pictures Kevin- the shop looks great!
Is that one of Blud's CNC saw shaft tapering machines that you built an enclosure for? I bet that really helps cut back on the dust!
Did you pick it up from him directly, or did you find one on here?

Thanks,
~Beau
yes it is one of bluds. i bought it from him. machine works good now and the dust is zero after the "coffin" was built.thanks for the compliment!!

Thanks everyone for posting pics of your shops , it has given me a few ideas, still have not cut my first piece of wood yet, but trying to make sure the dust collection and dehumidfier/ a/c is in proper order first

Looks like you've got a lot of room to build some racks/shelving to go up the side of your tall wall attached to the house. You could set something up for wood storage etc. up there.
What are you using for dust collection?
Looks like a great place to get started. Good luck!

The JDS in the background is a 2hp cyclone, and hanging is a JDS air filter, still got to buy and run the duct work, hopefully cut my first piece of wood within the next 4 weeks

The best health advice I can give you is move your dust collection system outside, so it does not put that ultra fine dust in the sir in your shop and enclose your tappering machines totally so all that fine dust is pulled out of your shop. I did this to two of my tappering machines and we rarely even smell any dust now.

I've seen alot of nice shop photos and layouts before, but when I found Jerry Olivier's shop tour photos a year or so ago... WOW! This is what I like to see; organization, stations, seperate rooms (storage, spray, working). I've gotten a lot of ideas from his photos! (thanks Jerry)

Chris,
Unfort i can't get away with doing that, I was planning on building a enclosed room around the dust collector once everything is finished,do you have any pictures of how you enclosed your deluxe lathes ?
Thanks
Mark

I just snapped a few photos of my work shop. You'll see my spray booth, main bench w/Deluxe Cuesmith, work bench/counter, small bench w/Mid-Size Cuesmith and odds and ends around.
Sitting on the black/white work bench/counter is a rack of some cues that I have in the works (I posted a new thread with photos of these cues).

It's not much, but it works for now!
