There is a great four page short story with pictures in the June Pool & Billiard Magazine titled Felt to Felt by Sean Chaffin. It's about the historic link between pool and poker. Tells about pool players that went over to poker and did very well over the years. Guys like Amarillo Slim, Daniel Negreanu, Ben Lamb, Billy Baxter, and John Hennigan to name a few.

Chaffin has also just published a book called Raising the Stakes. Johnnyt

PS:I know pool & poker players on here like Jay Helfert will enjoy this short story...if he hasn't already read it. I'm sure he knows all the pool and card players mentioned and maybe the writer too.

Danny is a C player at best played him with his fouls dont count and won 30k.

Great pool players not mentioned that have played poker for a living one time or another

Thanks for the feedback on the story. I really don't know any of them as I don't follow poker or regional tours. Johnnyt
