I made a couple of short videos with two mobile phones of the match between Ronnie O'Sullivan and Mario Lannoye. Windows Media Player won't play the videos on my computer, but Nero Showtime works fine. The match went 1-1 in sets, which meant a single game sudden death. Ronnie broke and scratched, Mario ran out. The last frame is one of the videos. They played 7-ball, which is so rarely played that Mario didn't have a tactital edge. Had they played 8-ball I'm sure it would have been 2-0, cause Ronnie clearly hasn't got much experience at pool. Off course the man can play snooker like no other, so it can only be a matter of time before he takes off. I just saw btw that he beat Mario in the main 9-ball tournament 9-7. There were more professional camera-men in attendance. I don't know if there will be a DVD or something, but why else would they be there. You'll have to ask Maurice Houben from HOB Weert. after i download 1, he says i cant dl another one before the 1st one is finished.. and its finished for ages... hope i can dl them all.

told ya all, super mario wasnt just a rookie :D glad he won over ronnie. Ps i really want the video's are they are my 2 biggest idols... will u send them true msn? ill pm u my msn adress.
 
If you rename the files from .mp4 to .avi windows media player will accept them if you an mp4 codec installed. I looked at yousendit.com but I could only send someone an e-mail with these files, not upload them. If anyone has a better site for uploading these videos, feel free to do so and post the links here. Just please mention the HOB weert websites.
 
yeah but mario won in the 7ball shootout if i read correct.
how was it in weert dave? im really sad i wasnt there :(
but THX alot for the video's!!!!! really makes me feel a bit better.
if u have more pictures or so, plz dont hesitate to post them, i want everything i can get my hands on just to lower to pain of not being able to make it.

Any chance you can quickly upload the zipped file through yousendit?

I downloaded the first bit off rapidshare and cannot get anymore due to their restrictions.

For yousendit, just put in a fake email, any email infact, even yours, and once you click the upload bit, it will upload it, bring you to the next screen with the link to the file, the email you enter does not receive anything. You can then post the link you get back here.

jup would be greath!! as i dl one file and cant dl the rar file anymore now. They keep your ip stored and i cant change mine. really looking forward to see the movies
 
thx dave :) makes the pain fade a little or... damn after seeing the video's i even wanted to be there more :p

ps if i ever come to holland ill let u know something, we could play some racks together. could be fun. where do u live and play?
 
Noooooooooooooo it doesn't work!!

I think when you changed the file name something must of gone wrong, if you are still online and have nothing better to do, any chance of doing it again and leaving the vids in their original format? They work fine in Real Player.

you need the proper mp4 codec, the files work on my computer, i tried before sending them off. Otherwise just rename (change extension) back to .mp4 and you'll have the original files. Someone here suggested kazaa lite codec pack, but I'm not sure.
 
mp4 works fine in windows media player.

(i downloaded the rar file, extruded the files, renamed them to mp4 and do a right click, choose: open with, choose windows media player, and u are off)

still cant believe mario missed that jumpshot. Ronnie seemed very on his ease on the table. looks like he was enjoying himself.
 
He shoots very loose on a snooker table, but is even looser now on the pool table. I don't know if my eyes are decieving me or is it mobile phone video quality, but he appears to be using a closed bridge on a lot of shots and a regular pool cue. In fact, the other guy he was playing with shoots a lot more like a snooker player than Ronnie! Very surprising.
 
mario is a snookerplayer, and not sure if he was shooting with a snookercue, but its possible, that converted to pool some years ago, hence why the other guy looks more like a snookerplayer. Ronnie has been coatched by poolplayers wich may explain the closed bridge on the brake, and some other shots.

ok now off to open weert site, to see the results of the final. If ronnie won the final,then mario will have been the only person who won vs ronnie. :D so my post about super mario wasnt a total waste. Hope we'll all see more things from super mario in the future. hes a greath player
