Literally, went to jump a ball that was maybe a little to close the the cue ball and WHAM there went the light shade into a million peices.

Anyone else have a similar story cause i feel like a first class jackass on this one lol just hope im not alone on this one

I personally never done it bjt have seen it happen more then once. There is a video on youtube where Scott Frost puts the cueball in the lights.

In a tournament a couple years ago, I broke and the cue ball jumped straight up in the air, breaking one of the lights above the table. Glass all over the table.

They moved us to a different table, I re-break. BAM! There goes another light.

Moved to another table. I break soft....put in 4 balls....the cue ball stays on the table. Two light bulbs simultaneously burn out above the table.

Yup took my 85 year old grandfather out to shoot a few racks. First thing like a total idiot I smash my stick right through the shade. (No light over the table at home back then. Guess i got used to it.) Buzz my grandfather was mortified they moved us to a different table and he made sure I never got the break again that day.

similar story to flying cue balls, still gives me nightmares...

a friend and I were playing on an english 8-ball table and he decided to try out his happy gilmore style break... suffice to say I stand in what I assume to be a safe position... as it turns out assumption sucks.. he has slammed the cue ball and it has jumped, probably only 2-3 balls high, and like some sort of precision missle has hit me in a very sensitive area, cue me hitting the floor, and remaining there for about 15 minutes (people more than happy to step over me), one of the most painful things I have ever experienced before literally crawling to the bathroom for some general agony.. to make matters worse the closer I got, cue Cool runnigns style slow clapping from the patrons in the pub. moral of the story?? always break.... :)

In a tourney, guy goes for a power break and misses the rack completely. Ball jumps off the table and lands on the adjacent table and breaks open the other rack. The guy on the other table was just about to break and he just stands up confused at what just happened. Everyone just starts cracking up.

Just last week at leagues, I don't remember the shot but another guy shoots a hard shot and misses the ball. Cueball jumps off the table to the next table and scratches in the side pocket.
