Should I switch to predator shaft?

I am a marginal C-B player and just had the opportunity to use a predator shaft for the first time.

I played with it for about a week. My mind was a complete mess as the whole time I was shooting I was worrying about how much to adjust for english and how much to adjust for cue ball squirt. It basically drove me so crazy I had to switch back to a regular shaft.

Now I've been back using a regular shaft for about a week, and I'm actually playing as good as I ever have.

Of course I like the idea of playing with a low deflection shaft. Should I take the time to work things out with the predator? It really drove me crazy, to the point where I wouldn't even come close to pocketing the ball.
 
It takes more time for some of us to adjust to low deflection.

IMO you should play with it until you make the adjustement and get comfortable with it.Then you can make an informed decision on what type shaft is better.Also once you learn to go back and forth between the 2 types of aiming you will be able to change down the road when you are a better player or when you have a good reason to switch.

It took me forever to get comfortable going from a meucci to a 314 but now I can go back and forth probably in a few days time.

This might also be an opportunity to work on a center ball hit wich makes adjusting easier.
 
If you're going to change, now is the time. The longer you play with a conventional shaft, the harder it is to make the change.

I made the change because Stan Shuffett suggested it. I was playing with a low end cue at the time.

I'm not stating that LD shafts are better. I'm suggesting that if you plan to change, sooner is better than later.
 
If your playing good right now don't change pool is hard enough without having to add another obstacle to your game.
