shoulder sore

Unless you have some underlying shoulder trauma that hasn't healed on its own and your pool playing is aggravating it, I would highly suggest trying kinesiology tape. It's far from a gimmick and will help alleviate most symptoms until they heal on their own. The hard part is applying it correctly but there are tons of videos and instructions, you just have to follow them to a t. I've used that tape for everything from sprained ankles to back pain and even hip pain. Shoulders and arms too. The best part is you can keep playing pool with the tape on, without the pain.

when i play for an extended period of time my shoulder will get sore. a while back i had an issue with a bad stroke and constantly putting unwanted english on the ball. to fix this i started to bring my shoulder in closer with my body. my stroke is very straight now but this sore shoulder doesnt seem like it should be happening. anyone else get like this?

I’m 6’3” and have Some lower back pain and shoulder pain after playing one pocket for 4 or more hours. I seldom sit down. My height has a lot to do with it. I’ve also have hand cramps occasionally with my bridge hand after playing. I think pool player don’t take hydration into account when playing for hours. No, beer, coffee and soft drinks are not the answer to hydration.
