Just want to say thank you to gkloop ( Gene ) again. He brought me my new Bob Frey SP today AND I LOVE IT. Gene is a good guy and I HIGHLY recommend dealing with him if you choose to buy a new Frey! With all of the bad threads that come up with buying a cue, here is one that went great.
I want to add a couple things. When I ordered my new Frey I had a couple of requests. Nothing out of the ordinary but none the less Gene AND Bob Frey went out of their way to make me happy and satisfied . First, I wanted the shafts to be 12.25mm. No biggie . I also wanted the stick to be 21 oz. Gene changed the weight bolt out to the biggest he had it only came up to 20.8 oz. I told him that was fine, Bob did not agree. He wanted the cue back before delivery. He redrilled it and got the weight to EXACTLY 21 oz! While the cue was at his shop for the weight adjustment, Bob found a flaw on the butt. I don't know what it was as I had never seen the actual cue but whatever it was he would not let the cue leave his shop till he thought it was perfect. He ended up fixing whatever it was that he didn't like and ultimately refinished the WHOLE BUTT!!! Not kidding. This pushed back delivery by one week, but as I told Gene I was in no hurry at all and he communicated with me throughout the whole process very well.
Anyway I got the cue today , shot one or two games with it and it hits just as good or better ( if possible ) as I knew it would . Thank you Gene for a smooth transaction, keeping your word , and being a honest guy. Gene actually saved me a few bucks too. At the time I ordered I did not have a PayPal account and while Gene didn't know my from Adam, he said if I wanted to pay cash ( which I prefer ) he knocked off a little money. Gene took my order, had cue changed to my preferred specs and brought it to me --- without me putting out a dime until delivery . This was awesome and put me at complete ease the whole time. So thanks again Gene, and Bob Frey, both of yall are Aces in my book!!!!
