Does anyone on here own a cue by John Showman? I got on his waiting list after seeing those beautiful cues he made for Buddy Hall's induction into the Hall of Fame. 5 year waiting list...but I'm patient...I thought.
After receiving my new Blue Book of Cues there was a wonderful photo in their of Showman's work which only made me drool and lose my patience even further for one of his cues. His designs are just my "ideal", period. They encompass a strong influence of the past masters with his own personal originality. I have never seen a cue where I didn't see "something" I might change in the design until I saw Showman's work. Simply amazing!
BTW, while I'm complaining about waiting lists I'll share some other wonderful cues I'm waiting on. Let me see, I'm on a 3 year wait for a Dennis Searing, a 7 year wait for two Southwest cues, and a "who knows how long - but it is worth it" wait for a B. Szamboti (Thanks again J!). Sheeshh......I'm really going to learn patience from this hobby. Guess I could buy them on the secondary market, but I want them all made to my specs because I'm going to play (I know..perish the thought) with all of them!! While I'm babbling on a cue I might buy on the second hand market at some point is a TAD. Those blow me away almost as much as a Showman in design.
Now....post pics of your John Showman/Searings/ and TAD cues...IMMEDIATELY!
Thank you,
