Showman's Short Ivory Ferrules - Capped or Un-Capped?

Hi guys,

Do any of you know if the short ivory ferrules Showman uses on his cue are a capped or un-capped design?

I've heard they play great, but I was wondering if it's a different design due to the shorter length, or just a shorter version of the longer ones.

My Showman cue has the short ferrules, Ivory"
replacing the tip and pad it appears to be the 'old-school' design...
A solid Ivory ferrule held on to the shaft by a small steel or aluminum all-thread"
I had John Make me another shaft with His standard 1 inch Ivory ferrule and,
at least to me, they play pretty much the same- GREAT , by the way :smile:
John's work is extremely meticulous in execution, and He makes a really fancy cue, for sure,
I have a rare 4 point 4 veneer Rosewood cue with the Stainles steel joint that is one of the best cues I ever hit with"

Hey thanks for the info. I remember Joel Hercek saying he did them like that as well. I thought he was the only one.

Do you notice *ANY* difference between the 2 types of ferrules, either in feel or accuracy?
