McDermott with 6 sharp points(3 hi 3 low) and 2 veneers. This was one of the forearms that Jim McDermott built before selling the company. The new company completed the cue in the nineties if I'm not mistaken. I think they found a few 6 pointers like this and completed them from what I was told. At any rate, cue has Tulipwood points with dark blue and black veneers. Forearm looks like stained maple to match the color of the Tulipwood. The butt is Tulipwood with the unmistakable McDermott stamp and bumper. Wood to wood 3/8 × 10 pin, which always produces a great playing cue with a nice hit.
Butt: 15.9 oz.
Shaft: 3.5 oz. 13.02 mm. Ferrule? Triangle tip.
Cue also features a nice leather wrap.
