We have decided to host a Bigger 9 ball tournament at the Fast Eddies in Bossier City. There is a lack of any bigger tournaments in the area, so we want to be the first.

June 5th and 6th. It will kick off on Friday night at 7:00. You may arrive early and shoot around, I can promise there will be plenty of action to be had. The reason we are starting on Friday night is we cannot be open on Sunday. Just want to make sure we have all matches covered, so the Calcutta will be Friday night and we will have a couple matches that night, Then Saturday will be all day matches.

Entry fee is 40$, Double elimination race to 7 on winner side and race to 5 on loser side.

Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at 1-318-741-0010 (please leave your name and number with whoever answers the phone and I will return your call). So far I have 10-15 signed up that are local or semi local.

I will post a map and a copy of flyer later tonight

Hey glad to see that there will be something closer to dallas. I remember that Lewis and Paul who run the tour changed the venue from shreveport because some issues with FE wanting it over by 10 or midnight or something to that effect. I guess those issue have been cleared up. I look foward to this event. Thanks

Hey frank yes the issues have been solved. We will have tables till 2Am. We still cant be open on sunday as of yet but were working on it. The cutoff will be 64 Players as of now but as soon as we figure something out for sunday then that might change.
 
Yea! thats what it was, couldnt be open on sunday. Well I hope you will get that worked out. I want to play in this one. I think it could be a huge tournament.

ACE- This time they are not I tried my damndest to get them to. I did however get the Manager to agree that if this one goes well she will add something to the next one and if it keeps growing then so will the add money. Aparently they had tried this when they first opened this eddies years ago and it didnt catch on. I am hoping that it will catch on now though since I know more people that are into competition and gambling then the previous tournament director. Matter of fact I already have some people planning to come from longview area. You should try to make it will be a good time for sure.
 
Is this a city law not allowing you to open on Sundays? How many tables and what size are they. I have free rooms at Diamond Jacks, how far is it to Fast Eddie's. I don't like leaving my wife alone there to long or I would be in the poor house when I returned. LOL

Oh, I might need to know which is the best corners to stand on just in case.:thumbup:

Yes there is a ordinance saying that you can only be open on sundays if 60% of your sales are not alcohol related, which would not be the case for Eddies. The tables are 4x8's and we have approximately 30. Hope you decide to join us.

Sure would like to go to this and meet up with more AZers and just have an all-around good time, but we can't pull two weekends in a row, on the road. We're hoping to be in Fort Worth on the 24th, for the $20 8ball bar box tournament, at Rusty's.

Don't hit me for mentioning another tournament on your thread. Even though we can't make this one, I figured I could give it a bump and a comment about the other one, to help folks find more tournaments in the ArkLaTex. I'll hit the other thread with news about this one, too.
 
No worries Jes. Funny story I was actually at Rustys this weekend but I went to the wrong one apparently I was at the one in arlington me and a lady friend spent the weekend at six flags.

So when will the flyers be out and when and where can we start to sign up to make sure we get in?
 
you can go ahead and start signing up now. As people sign up I will make a edit on the original post with names and such. I will post the flyer tomorrow hopefully I emailed the guy that made them but hes constantly out of town for jobs and such.
 
cutoff is at first 64 guys so sign up now if your interested...Also my number will change in the next day or two so I will update it when its changed over...

Date may have to be changed to the weekend before teh 30th. I found out that the City APA tournaments start on the 30th. That locks up quite a few players that were gonna play locally. IF this is a problem for any who have signed up or were thinking of signing up let me know I can do the weekend before or the weekend after.
