Does anyone know of any weekly tournaments in Shreveport? I don't care if its a five dollar tournament at a biker bar.

Tim over at Rack'em is always having tournaments, but I can't remember if they are on a set schedule or not.

Hmmm, I may have to look up these places. I will be just North of Shreveport/Bossier City tomorrow through Monday sometime. Although, I doubt I will get a chance to play in a tournament since we are visiting family. I am bringing some of the cues I've been working on though, so it would definitely be fun to use them!
Nicest pool hall in Bossier is Fast Eddie's. They just had the 9 footers re felted and new pockets too...Simonis 860 cloth. Also have 27 8 footers to play on and 2 coin operated 7 footers if you choose. And the A/C's are working good too!
They are also showing the UFC fight this weekend on saturday. $5 to get in with free pool all night.

I played in this tournament last night. Big tables with tight pockets. Free practice time before, during and after the tournament. I will go back.
I lost my first match 5-4. Mental errors gave away the two games. I won my second match 3-1. My third match I was up 2-0 shooting the eight. I dogged it and ended up losing the match 3-2. Again, mental errors are bad mechanics are killing me.
They are Gold Crown nine footers with tight pockets. Very fast worn out Simonis cloth. I don't know which type of Gold Crown tables these were.
Joey, I'm not sure which GC's Bill has, I'm not a GC expert, but they're the same tables that have always been in there.
Although, he did sell 3 sometime last year.
