The post by D Weathersby covered it well fro what I can remember. The Shreveport/Bossier area seems to be a big hub for APA play, so most of the offerings are 7 foot tables.
I travelled there for work a few times in 2018 and 2020, and spent a lot of time at Sidepocket Billiards. There were mostly 7 footers for the leagues, but a 9 footer near the entrance that always seemed to have a couple guys on it playing 1P. That would be my first stop for 1P action. Played in a few of their APA style tournaments while I was there, very friendly people.
There's a place in southern Shreveport called Break-N-Run that has eight 7-footers and they run weeknight APA style tournaments too. Also very friendly people.
Eddie's Tavern in Bossier was nice, only there once, it's in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Newer place at the time I went a few years ago, and again, nice people.
Someone on here suggested Robbie's to me, but it always looked closed when I drove past.
Bill Schick's place was in Shreveport, but I think that is closed now. They had a lot of big tables from what I remember, but was only there once in 2018.
They all allowed smoking when I was there, and it gets thick in some places.
