Side Rail Break

Hi Keith, I was wondering if you could give me some help on my 9 ball break. Could you give me some insight on how to make the cue ball stop in the middle of the table like you do.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance for your cooperation on this subject.

For the longest time i practiced endlessly on trying to get my siderail break to work like the Pro's.

And it didnt happen. So one day i am at a tournament and i am watching a friend play, and see he is breaking inbetween the break box and the rail, with the CB on the line.

And i notice that he was able to really crush the rack and still keep the CB in the center of the table. So i tried it, and OMG i can squat my ROCK!

Generally what happens is the CB pops up in the air and back a lil bit and stops. The only probably i end up with is if the CB gets kicked by another ball.

Bob, try this in your practice, don't use any chalk on your break cue. Hope you will learn something out of it.;)

If you a right hander, try learning to break from the right side rail. You will get better bridging and accuracy on the breaking. Also if you are breaking from the right hand side rail, aim about a tip size to the right of the 1 ball instead of dead center. This will help help you to get the dead center break.
