Sigel vs. Jones IPT airs Thurs. Nov. 17 (tomorrow)

If you can get the channels, I highly recommend Tivo. I then edited last night's Tivo to VCR tape. I need to figure out how to get from Tivo to DVD burner.

For those of you that missed it, the intro was several hyped showdown type pieces, then they matched up with 2 of the commentators for mixed scotch doubles teams speed pool. The only difference is that they rotated each shot between teams, so LJJ's partner broke, made a ball, then MS's partner shot, then LJJ, then MS (not sure on MS's team rotation, MS may have shot first), but anyway, it was all good-natured ribbing and fun. LJJ's team won 6-5. Her partner scratched in a panic shot at the last second, but it was just after the time ended.

Naturalcures.com and internationalpooltour.com were emblazoned on the side of the table, and the cameras got some good shots to include those.

The cloth looked blue(!), and they did not use the measle ball. Could have been Centennials, but not sure. Not even sure it was a Diamond, could have been a Gold Crown - forgot to notice. The pockets did not llook that tight, as a couple rattled and still went in. But what will be used in the actual tournaments may be totally different than what we saw in this exhibition.

Something that'd work to transfer directly to DVD and/or VHS, as well as from VHS to DVD, would be to get a 2-in-1 DVD and VHS recorder (progressive scan preferably...:p :D). That way, you could go directly to DVD if you wanted to and if you have any old VHS tapes, you can record them to DVD with the same unit!:D As a matter of fact, you could give me an early Christmas present by making me a DVD of tonights match.:D :p ;) LOL! (just kidding...)

If you do not get FOX SPORTS NET, goto WWW.COMCASTSPORTSNET.COM and click on your area and the correct time for your area will be there.

Here in Maryland (Mid Atlantic) it comes on at 11:30pm tonight.

Hey, what channel is that in Maryland? Thanks.

I think it is either 6,7,or 8. Not really sure. I know it is one of those though.

Yeah, I thought of getting one of those before. The same show ran back to back and I figured out how to hook up my laptop up to the cable. My laptop has a tv tuner and DVR in it. So I recorded it and now I think all I have to do is find the file and burn it to DVD. In theory, anyway! It is not crystal clear, the beginning was actually fuzzy. I'm not sure what made it start coming in clearer, so I am afraid to move it! I also Tivo'ed it on another tv. I don't know if the IPT plans to sell this program, so I hesitate to make it available to others, even though I wouldn't be selling it. I'm not sure if they would mind, since anyone could have taped it, but I certainly don't want to get in trouble before I even play! lol

I missed the big event, but it sounds like to some I didn't miss much...Hopefully it will be rebroadcast...

Linda --

Using Tivo's Media2Go option, you can do this. This is assuming you have your Tivo and PC hooked up to a network. Ethernet is preferred.

If you want a recording of the actual match itself, let me know. I burned that on DVD.

It was good seeing you up at the new Jake's in Lynnwood.
