I have a jerico cue that I'm having refinished by a local cue maker, my question is will the signature be removed ?

This is the right answer because there are many different methods to refinish a cue. Your local person is the only person that knows what method and chemicals that are going to be used

Why not just have Jerry do the refinish? That way you know it will be signed when you get it back.

Signatures and logos during a refinish should be photographed and documented if the original maker cannot do the work, or is not chosen to do the work. Especially in the case of deceased or retired cuemakers. It does not hurt to document the cue in Microsoft Word, insert some pre-refinish pictures, and post refinish pictures and keep the document with the cue

It gets harder and harder to keep historical information as the years go by. I also implore those buy vintage cues from the original owner to do something, anything. Even if its on a napkin, or back of a flyer, to get any history on the cue you can and keep it with the cue.

Just a suggestion.
