SOLD I was going to keep this to play with until my player gets back from the shop but I have decided to use my other Cochran.
Old shcool Toeboy. The blank is incredable. I guess he liked the cue so much he signed it. This cue was in Jeff Rydell's collection for years.

The cue is very likely full splice weighing between 18 and 19 ozs. with 2 ivory ferrel full shafts. One origional brunswick shaft around 13mm and one larger shaft made for the cue probably around 13.1mm.
The Brunswich shaft has a slight rollout. The cue is dead straight with the larger shaft together or appart. The cue has a spectacular flex on contact.

WOW! Great looking cue. Couple of Q's,
is the butt slightly thin? Might be the pics.
Also, the buttsleeve looks to be different wood than the forearm, is that just the lighting?
Lastly, is that the orig brass joint just repolished?

Missed your call Tommy. The cue is close to .84 at the brass joint and around 1.27 at the rear. The rear was probably added to stretch the points and keep the full splice.

If it was in Jeff Reidel's collection, it is truely a great cue. He only goes after amazing cues! I know him pretty well.
 
Sounds like I need to raise the price!

This is to be a exceptional example of Toeboy's work. So, Add another $100.

This is a great cue...i played with this one when it was still in Houston. It was then traded into Scott Murrpheys Collection, then picked up by Jeff. **Toeboys are getting harder to come by. He is now Semi Retired. His Sneakies are those of Legend! The ultimate Barbox Beaters!! This Titlist Conversion, is definately Rare. Good Luck with the Sale.

Because this is a 57 inch cue it feels very solid, almost soft. It is nice and stiff and flexes just right.

The cue hit funny when I got it in. I put the right weight bolt in the bottom to tighten the delrin down and Magic. The cue is about 2 ounces lighter now. The feel is not quite the same as when I first hit a ball with the cue because now it is rock solid. The balance is foreward now.
I don't like playing around with cues like this but it was very evidant to me that a brand new weight screw was not the usual rusted old thing I had seen before. That was one of the reasons I wanted Bill to look at the last unsigned Toeboy I had. George used them old rusted things.
The weight bolt is now aluminium. And now it is tightened down properly and the delrin is back about where it was when the cue was built. I wounder if it may have happened when someone shot clear coat on this thing. They really prettied it up.
One thing that had escaped me is that this is a 57 inch cue. No wonder I like it!
