silly joint question

I just got a new cue with a 3/8X11 joint.
Most aftermarket shaft makers sell 3/8X10 shafts.
Am I wrong or isnt the difference between the two just one extra thread?

Will a 3/8X10 shaft fit my 3/8X11 shaft?

Most shaft are a little deeper than the exact length of the bolt arent they?

The difference is one thread per inch. I think it would be a bad idea to try to put a 3/8 x 10 shaft on a 3/8 x 11 pin.

Yeah, it won't fit. The threads are spaced differently is what the measurements mean...
Although there are definitely days when I wish they would just all friggin' fit on each other!!! Lol. :p
