Send an email whatever is on their contact us page and put those desired colors and also specify which cloth(s) for which color. Took about a week via 1st class mail. Each sample piece I got was about the size of a modern cell phone. Large enough to get a good idea of how different two similar colors are.

What are you comparing?

Are you setting up a players table or decorating you game room. If setting up a players table IMHO you should not consider anything but tournament blue.

My GC4 has a gold cloth. This is the 2nd gold cloth since 1998. Would do it again and again. Get the color you really like the most.

I could not agree with you more. Blue is not the be all/end all of table cloth. If people thought that way there would only be green cloth.

Yes , one can get the color they prefer. Nothing wrong with that.

But you have to ask why they came up with this tournament blue. Were they just exploring new looks? Trying something different? Or just tired of the old stand by green. I can understand why some other colors were introduced. Matching decor for some rooms or just adding different choices for different folks.

So we ended up with many choices, golds, reds even black.

So why tournament blue?

My understanding, I was told, that pool balls were set to technicians who study color and asked them what color would allow you to see the balls better. They result was this blue that is now used in most pro tournaments. This color should give you a better visual. Have you watched the US Open Tennis tournaments lately? Have you notice the color of the court? This is tennis where green is the king color. Well in the biggest tournament in tennis played in the US, the court is a soft blue, very similar to the tournament blue. Not a coincident , IMO. Something about this color lets you see the contrasting balls better.

So do you want to decorate your table so the room looks pretty? Not a problem. Or maybe you just want to put your favorite color on the table to make a personal statement? Also, not a problem.

Or are you a player that wants the best condition to play in?

The choice is yours.

or you are a player and want to be acclimated to the green cloths you will be playing on almost all the time when you leave your house.

18% gray was researched to be the best color for vision fields. Bonus ball had it right.

Then gray should be your color.

So Bonus ball had it right and the rest of the world that is going to Tournament blue is wrong. Ok so how is Bonus Ball doing?

The horse gives up

Green, blue, tan, red.... Cue maker, cue weight, traditional vs low deflection, tip manufacturer, tip shape, tip hardness, chalk, glove vs no glove, Brunswick vs Diamond, Aramith vs Centennial, Simonis vs Tournament 30/30, measle ball vs blue dot vs red dot, open bridge vs closed bridge..... how about just using what you personally prefer and stop trying to convince the rest of the pool players in the world you know the right answer.

Talk about beating a dead horse!
