Just popped up on their Facebook page:

THE RUMOR MILL:
Recently, a few people have been spreading rumors about Simonis cloth.
They claim that the post-flood Simonis cloth is different or that we are having it made somewhere else.
THE FACT IS:
Simonis has refurbished our Verviers mill and Simonis cloth quality is back to the stringent guidelines that we set.
ALL Simonis cloth is from the Verviers mill and any rumor that we are not holding our high-quality standards are FALSE.

I guess they got sick of constant misinformation out there.

That’s all good and well but you still can’t get Simonis 860 or 860HR in tournament blue for almost one year now.

They did briefly produce some in a "sister facility" and it was not the same. That was before they rebuilt though.
I've installed a bunch of the post flood stuff from the rebuilt factory and it looks and stretches the same as the pre flood cloth.

They are sending it out, but not fast enough. I have gotten some but it's hit and miss, and nothing for the last few weeks.

It's on their website as well, I wish they posted more info about availability, and when we can expect suppliers to get more in stock.

There are not many companies that I trust not to sell out to some cheaper construction method or outsource to China with bad quality control, Simonis is one of them, and I think Aramith is the other, and likely Diamond is a third. Every other company I expect to start fiddling with cost cutting and make the products worse over the years.

If they had to move production due to an emergency, I expect the quality to be back on par soon as they can manage it.

Simonis Blue 860 is in stock here in Chicago. I got my table recovered 5 days after I walked in the store. They have Blue and several shades of Green.
As a poolroom and dealer, I’ve had the same account rep at Simonis for 25 years and always received nothing but excellent customer service. Right now I cannot get Tournament Blue 860 HR for myself or for a home table customer. I’ve got a 1/2 bolt on order right now even though we aren’t due to recover our tables for another 8-9 months, just so hopefully I’ll know I’ll have it by then.
