While I am not hot over the bocote/purpleheart combination, aesthetically....I am told it makes for a simply terrific playing cue! I really like how they caught the grain just right running up the point..pretty cool.
BTW, it's got a wrap on it!
That's not a 'simple' sneaky...it's a simply super sneaky...LoL.

My guess is that it may not be based upon the grain pattern on the buttsleeve vs the points!?
But, like Lisa, I feel these are two (2) of the nicest playing/hitting pieces of wood for a player's cue for sure!
I like the combo.....but, I'd like to see a full piece of Bacote with some long inlayed Pupleheart points; maybe an Ivory buttcap and joint too with a fancy lizard wrap by the KooMasterWrapper

Thanks for the kind words..It's a Schmelke full splice blank with the butt sleeve added .....I guess I would still consider it full splice....good eye krbsailing btw the butt cap doesn't have the signature AE logo.....They only brand titlist conversions, but it does have the trade mark AE double silver rings at the joint....

Very nice cue. Even though they didn't put the AE logo on the butt cap, it is still a classic example of their work. The finish looks great, and I think Jeff did a fantastic job on this cue
