Here is one more playing cue from Kyiv (Ukraine) I've finished recently.
As all cues I build this one is no exeption and build on a full length core. The core is nice stiff Pau Rosa wood which compliments the hit.
The forearm and buttsleeve are Purple heart.
The handle is straight grained maple with black & brown specs. linen wrap over it
The joint collar and butt cap are black phenolic.
There are nice sets of decorative rings at A, D positions. These decorative rings are the combination of rings out of Bocote, thin black phenolic and ivory substitute.
The cue comes with two low deflection shafts with Thoroughbred medium tips. The ferrules are combination of tomahawk (the outer part) and black phenolic (the inner part).
The cue comes with a fairly light cf extension and set of joint protectors.
The specifications of the cue are:
The butt - 29,5 inch and weighs 15,56 oz. The pin is aluminum 3/8-10 modified.
Shaft 1 - 29,5 inch and weighs 3,8 oz.
Shaft 2 - 29,5 inch and weighs 3,46 oz.
Both shafts 12,95 mm at the ferrule.
CF extension is 7,87 inch and weighs 2,82 oz.
The balance point of the cue is 18,1-18,7 inch depending on the shaft.
P.S. All the woods used for the butt are pretty old and their combination compliments the hit. I like its sound and a crisp hit so hopefully it finds good hands
