I bought the video. I still have questions. I could have PM'd Stan, but I thought I would ask the forum in case others could help me. I started a new thread because this is not a criticism or a debate, but a set of clarification questions.
1. I follow what Stan is saying about finding the edge lines, but I do not understand how he sets the initial bridge position and aiming line (just before the pivot) based on those "visuals." This is critically important. If the initial bridge and aim line are wrong, the system shouldn't work.
2. I understand finding both the CTE line, and the line between the CB edge and OB points A and C. Those two lines will geometrically converge. However, the CTE line and the line between the CB edge and OB point B are parallel and do not converge, so how can you see both of these lines at the same time? Or do you let your eyes "blur" and try to see them as equally well as possible?
3. If the CB is at location 21 and the OB is at location 9, there would be a certain aiming line and pivot. Fine. Would this be the same aiming line and pivot if the balls were at 22 and 10 (one diamond further away from the pocket)? If so, wouldn't the shot hit the long rail one diamond short of the pocket?
4. I completely miss how to do the ProOne pivot.
This is (hopefully) not a debate thread. I am open minded and just need clarification. Please limit responses to attempts to anwer these questions. (Post your debate somewhere else.)
