BCAPL Tournament eligibility
Msot of the answers you need are in the event newsletter, which can be found on the BCAPL web site at
http://www.playbca.com/Events/2010BCAPL8BallNationalChampionships/tabid/587/Default.aspx
In short:
The Open Division is restricted to BCAPL league players. Anyone can purchase a Player Membership and compete in the Player Member Division.
- BUT -
In either case, anyone may be required to play as a Master or Grand Master based on known ability.
Assuming he is not a sleeper Master or Grand Master:
If he is a league member with 8 weeks played during a single session since 6/1/09, he is eligible for the Open division. If not, he will be required to purchase a Player Membership and compete in the Player Member Division.
As a 65 yr old, he is also eligible for either the Senior (55 and up) or Super Senior (65 and up) divisions. In those divisions no distinction is made between league and non-league players. However again, Master of Grand Master status overrides Senior or Super Senior status.
FINALLY, he'd better HURRY, because he's already past the regular deadline and into the late entry period. ALL entries are due postmarked by April 12. NO LATE OR ON-SITE ENTRIES ARE ACCEPTED.
Hope that's clear as mud...
