Singles / Individuals League Near Annapolis, MD?

Does anybody know of an individuals / singles league in the Annapolis, MD area? I would also consider a team-based league providing lots of games/reps in a given night. I am not interested in APA, TAP, or similar systems because of the overhead for stats tracking and small number of games - and often late nights.

A straight cash league for individuals handicapped, or not, with something like 8, 9, or 10-ball best 2-out-of-3 races to 7 per match would be ideal.

Does something like that exist in this area? There are too few rooms around... :(

Check out Flow Master Pool at Center Pocket in Bowie. I've not tried the format, but from their website it sounds pretty good, a mix of 9-ball, 10-ball, and 8-ball. I have played in the room, and it is near perfect, seemingly endless Diamond 7s and a handful of Rasson 9s. The folks who run the room are wonderful and the food is pretty decent. Coming from DC, I couldn't believe how reasonable table time was for such nice equipment.

It is a bit of a drive from Annapolis, but might be worth it.

If you find anything better, please share. I split my time between DC and West River and have been disappointed with the pool offerings in AA county.

Edit: sorry, looks like FMP is another team format. There may be something else at Center Pocket. I don't play there enough to keep up. I totally agree that greater Annapolis is a little anemic for rooms. Best of luck.

I like Center Pocket and most often choose that room to play in when I can find time to play at all. My only serious complaint is the concrete floors - not great if a stick gets dropped or knocked over. But people are nice and tables are in pretty good shape. FMP sounded promising, but then I also discovered it's a team format...and the masters section is on Friday nights to boot which is tough to reconcile with family obligations. The search will continue, I guess.

AA does seem to be a pretty dry pool scene, though. Especially if you prefer 9 ft. tables. And when I have gone to rooms outside of league hours there's virtually nobody playing, but during leagues and tournaments nobody wants to match up. So...yeah. Disappointing for me, but glad the rooms that are around get good league support. I also like Triple Nines just over the AA line in Howard County on Rte 1 in Jessup, but it's not geographically desirable.
