I understand what you're asking, but the cut of the slate depends on who manufactured the slate and to what spec's. Diamond's radius cut of the side pocket is 3"...but that's Diamond, not Brunswick, Olhausen, or anyone else's. A 4 1/2" pocket opening is just that, it's not determined by the cut of the slate...only the pocket.
