Does anyone know the size weight and type of measle played in the open or any other major event. I'm gonna buy a measle but i wanna buy the one that plays the best.

It's the Aramith Pro Cup cue ball. That's the only ball I've ever seen called a measle ball. You can get it at any of the online billiard supply stores.

Get the Measle Ball that comes in the plastic package and cost about $30 dollars, and is slightly cream color and you will have the right one.

The $8 dollar ones that look real white are cheap knock offs and lighter also I think.

You want the Aramith Pro Cup Cue Ball.

They are all 2 1/4" diameter.

Sterling makes a knock off and it is extremely heavy.

You can't just buy the same cue ball and expect it to react the same way as the ones used in the U.S. Open.

The cue ball's reactions will be relative to the rest of the balls in the set.

You should buy a whole new set.
