A SL 7/9's opinion
I love reading post daily on A to Z but rarely post. With that said there seems to be alot of APA talk these days and the usual bashers come out. Ive played leagues for 15 years, all of them. I have always prefered the APA and have been a SL 7/9 since 08. The area I was from only had one place with big tables so 99% of leagues were on bar box's. I would not have been a 4 on big tables. The area I live in now most of the leagues play on the bigger tables and I really feel my game has improved and I am starting to get pretty decent on the big tables. Now with all that said I would never ever NEVER concider myself an A level player. The area I was from was double tough with lots of tough players. The area I'm in now i can play once a month and win pretty easily. I learned a long time ago (at the 2nd annual Derby City Classic) that I had a long LOOOONG way to go. So long story short ole boys APA skill level 9 is equal to an A level player if very gracious. Not to say theres not a few out there but as a general rule I would say some kind of B level player at best. My opinion
