Ivory joint, piloted 5/16x14 thread
Joint protectors included
Many ivory inlays (see pictures)
Textured leather wrap
Bushka style ring (ivory/ebony) above the wrap
Butt cap is delrin
2 – perfectly smooth 13mm shafts with ivory ferrules and Moori tips with Skip’s refined taper.
Rare - 5 perfectly executed milled veneers

whats the balance point like and how is the ( subjective) hit. heard many things about the hit ( good and bad) of skip's cues.

I would call the balance point neutral on this cue. As far as the hit goes there's no noticeable vibration and it has a good solid hit. This is the first Skip Weston cue i've played with and I really like the shaft taper and the feel of the cue. I've listed this cue for sale only because I'm trying to work out a deal to buy a new Mottey cue that I saw at the US Open last week. If it doesn't sell i'll be happy to hang on to the cue.

I, for the life of me, cannot understand why the three differant ring types. Maybe even four. If they matched, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Different strokes for different folks but the only really ring work is the bushka above the wrap and then the joint area and they look awesome.The butt has inlays and Bands of rare wood but there not rings.This is a bushka copy and if it were a real george balabushka those rings would be just like he did them.

I wasn't knocking the cue cuedoctor. It just seems weird to me to go to all that work and then, well, you know. If it had A,B,C,& D Bushka rings, it would be drop dead gorgous. I like Skip's work. I was just commenting on this particular cue.

purdy I am with you on what ya said i think it looks funny diferent rings in custom cues I see gilbert do this all the time.If I going to spend big bucks on a cue I would like all the rings matching to but this is just me I think it would be a good thread to make about the rings matching maybe some one should do that and see what people think. tap tap tap Just some hot air lol
