Skip Weston first ebony/ebony 1994

Skip doesn't get a lot of recognition, what I notice is his cues are either you love them, or you hate them. However Skip is a highly skilled craftsman and I want to show this cue. It's his first ebony / ebony and I believe his first piloted ivory joint. He is semi-retired and I just wanted to show this cue off. It was about his 10-15th cue I believe.

5 veneers, a lot of gold dots and plenty of ivory.

Impressive. And if I'm not mistaken I believe those are five-veneer points.

They are 5 seamless hardwood veneers. Not recuts, but the effect is similar.

Same here, Joe was nice enough to arrange a shop visit for me way back in 2003 when I barely knew anything about cues. A week after that I won a gorgeous custom Skip from the Crown Billiards raffle...I ordered one from him shortly after. Then another. And another.
