Slate screws

Does anyone have sone #16 x 3" screws they can sell me? I need them a.s.a.p., for my G.C.III.

Have you seen them there? I checked the local hardware stores, and my local screw Mfg., and they only carried up to #14. I think I found some on ebay, but I'm not sure if they will get here in time.

Rodney, do what I do...LOL I for the most part don't like using slate screws because of them breaking off at the most inopportune moments, and because if the tables been set up several times, the multiple choices of holes.

After centering the slates on the table, I drill out the slate screw holes with a 1/4" wood drill bit, then replace the wood screws with 1/4" x 20, 4 1/2" long machine screws, using a washer and lock-nuts, then I don't ever have to worry about slate screws stripping out, breaking off, stripping the heads, nothing.

You can now also use a 1/4" ratchet wrench to tighten the slates to the frame of the table;) The machine screws are available at just about any hardware store, the #16 wood screws are harder to find as most only go up to #14.
