Is it possible for a slate to warp?
Yes, under certain conditions, slate can change it's level, and depending on how much it changes, you may not be able to level it out again.

What is the best way to store slate? I purchased 7 older diamond professional tables last december, and stood the slate on edge in two rows. Thats alot of weight on the inside piece up against the wall. Is this OK?

Slate is shipped on edge, and should be stored on edge as well, never flat.

Let me explain that statement. From the factory slate is shipped flat, in skids of slate. Slate stored flat over time can and will conform to the surface that it's stored on. Slate standing on edge has no pressure on it to cause it to change it's flatness.
