The Sledgehammer is designed for the serious players out there who may play competitively in tournaments or wagering. This cue will improve your break dramatically. The break is the most important shot in 9 ball, 8 ball and so many other billiard games. If you like winning and making $, this is the one for you.
These cues break unbelievably well, outperforming the Predator BK 2 Average breakers routinely make 2-3 balls or more on a 9 ball break, often moving more than half of the balls up table beyond mid-table. As a regular tournament player I can assure you that this cue will dramatically improve your break, it has mine. Jumping with the cue at the shortened jump length or even full cue is much easier than with other jump/break cues. The secret to all of this is in the Sledgehammer design with the one piece phenolic tip and sturdy shaft that clearly delivers more power into the jump or break shot.
