Firstly, I know how to properly chalk a tip, but... accidents do happen. Anyway, the problem is that I'm new to the super small ferruled shafts & occasionally grab the wrong chalk or in the heat of a game while studying the run I hold the chalk on the tip & then when I've made the decision i quickly chalk improperly. So...the question is, is there a relyable way to 'protect' the shaft wood from the chalk? Thanks in advance for any help.
