smaller tables would be perfect for the IPT!!

if the IPT were on 7 footers or 8 footers...you'll have thousands of people signing up...even $500 entry qualifying tournaments A side and B side ...race to 11 or 13......that would be perfect.......9 footers are good too.... but what you need is more players.....no one wants to pay thousands just to enter a qualifying tournament............it's really simple.......pay $500....play on 7 footers......win the qualifier......then you play in the big million dollar tournament.....thats also on 7 footers.....simple... smaller tables equals more people joining!!
 
Too late. Its already been done. It's called the APA. Quite successful i might add. And everybody loves it. Great business plan. Not complicated.

Major League Baseball is not played on the same field as the Little League World Series, and neither should the IPT.
 
honestly i think the 7 foot tables are a bad idea...you would see a lot of sets being run and it would take a lot of the skill of movin balls around out of the game
 
that's exactly what i'm saying...i wanna watch quick games on TV or on the IPT ...guys taking 3 minutes a shot on 9 footers...thats almost like snooker........there is one time down in vegas....on 7 footers..race to 7......player A runs 4 straight tables and then misses an easy shot cause he thought he was too far ahead.....player B runs 7 straight and wins....thats fun to watch!!

i disagree, i think it takes much more skill to win on 9 foot tables

I agree.

The fact of the matter is that the pro's in most fields play on bigger and tougher conditions. I was recently talking to a guy that's a great golfer by any standards outside of the PGA and he said that he had a chance to play with a pro on a pro course and that it was quite a humbling experience.

Nascar tracks are by far bigger and better than local tracks, baseball fields are larger than little league.

IMO the tougher conditions are what separates the men from the boys and all pro's at any sport should have to play on the toughest table, track, field, whatever it is their sport requires.

Bar boxes? Blech! I hardly play pool anymore and on a 9 ft table I literally struggle to run 3 balls with ball in hand anymore. On a bar box, I can and have run out in recent times. A bar box tournament does not interest me in the least and most pro's feel the same way. Last yr at the DCC they were having a qualifier for the Reno bar box tourney. I ventured over with a couple of friends who decided to play in it. They simply couldn't get into it. They both ended up forfeiting out because they simply had no desire to play on the bar box.
