Tell your teammate his platinum nit card is in the mail and put the balls back where they were.
 
It is actually part of the apa rules that any ball moved from it's position is to be respotted as close to the original position as possible. So it's not only a jackass move but it also would serve absolutely no purpose as your opponent would have the right to reposition it to where it was.
